Gardener
  • Q: I’ve never gardened before. Where do I start?
A: Right here. We’ve got beginner guides that won’t overwhelm you—promise. Start with something forgiving, like lettuce or herbs. Instant gratification and salads.
  • Q: Do I need fancy tools or gear?
A: Nope. A trowel, some dirt, and a sunny spot go a long way. You can level up later if you want. Or not.
  • Q: Do I have to start from seeds?
A: Nope! Seedlings (baby plants) are a great shortcut. Grab a few from your local nursery and get planting. Zero shame in the seedling game.
  • Q: My plants keep dying. Help?
A: Same. That’s how we learned. We’ll walk you through the top five things that usually go wrong and how to fix them. No shame.
  • Q: How do I know if I’m overwatering?
A: Great question. Stick your finger in the soil. If it’s wet past your first knuckle, you’re good. If it’s swampy, maybe chill with the watering can.
  • Q: What’s the deal with compost? Do I need it?
A: Compost = garden gold. But no, you don’t need it to start. You can always add it later, or grab a bag from the store while pretending you made it yourself.
  • Q: How do I keep pests from eating everything?
A: Honestly, pests are part of the game. But we’ve got natural tricks to keep them in check—no toxic sprays required. Marigolds and neem oil are MVPs.
  • Q: Can I garden without a yard?
A: Heck yes. Pots on a balcony. Basil on a windowsill. Tomatoes in a bucket. If there’s light, there’s a way.
  • All organic?
A: We lean organic and low-impact, but we’ll always be honest about what works.
  • Q: What should I plant right now?
A: It depends on your zone. Don’t know your zone? We’ve got a tool for that. (Spoiler: it’s based on your zip code. Easy peasy.)
  • Q: How much sun do my plants need?
A: Most veggies love full sun (6+ hours). But some leafy things (like spinach or lettuce) are cool with partial shade. We’ve got cheat sheets for this.
  • How do I edit or remove the 'Frequently Asked Questions' title?
You can edit the title from the FAQ 'Settings' tab in the Editor. To remove the title from your mobile app go to the 'Site & App' tab in your Owner's app and customize.
  • Q: Can kids help with gardening?
A: 100%. Start them with something fast-growing, like radishes or sunflowers. Bonus: they’re way more likely to eat veggies they grow.
